My name is Mary Davis, and I am the creative force behind Mary Go Round Quilts.

I have always been a crafty person. My mom liked to sew and crochet and she taught me and my sisters to do the same at an early age.  I remember every Christmas, we got some sort of craft kit and I couldn't wait to open it and get started. For many years I was a garment sewer. But once my mom started quilting, I knew this was something I had to learn myself. I bought a book called Teach Yourself to Quilt and made my very first sampler quilt in 1995. I have been quilting ever since.

To further my knowledge for all things quilting, I took a course on how to write and sell quilt patterns. My first pattern, Launch Party quilt, released in January 2021. And I'm very excited to start this new venture and I want to share it with you. Since that time, I've written several new patterns for my shop, as well as collaborations with Baby Lock and other talented quilting artists.

I love all things quilting, but my favorite part is the free motion quilting.  I now have online courses to teach you how to become a confident free motion quilter.  This industry has so much to offer, and I'm always striving to learn and expand my knowledge of quilting.
