A native New Yorker, Geraldine moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to begin a photojournalism career at the Los Angeles Times. After a successful 11-year career that garnered a Pulitzer Prize, she moved to Virginia in 2005 to work for a worldwide Christian magazine. Her photos continue to be published by the Los Angeles Times and Getty Images. Photos have also been published in National Geographic, A Mother’s Touch (1998), Swat Teams-Career Heroes (2016).

Geraldine began her quilting journey with a Virginia church group in 2006. Since then, she has made many quilts and joined several quilt guilds. She is a founding board member the Fredericksburg Modern Quilt Guild.

Geraldine lectures and teaches at international quilt shows, like Quilt Con, and at quilt shops, regional retreats, and guilds. As a former Westalee Design Accredited Teacher and Juki America Educator she criss-crossed the United States teaching at guilds and large quilt shows.

Her quilts have exhibited in local and regional quilt shows, national touring events and shows with Hoffman Fabrics, American Quilt Society Quilt Week at Paducah, Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, curated exhibits at the Virginia Quilt Museum and juried Sacred Threads 2019 exhibit.

Geraldine was featured in “Designer Spotlight “, an article published in the July/August 2019 issue of Quiltmaker magazine. She is a regular contributing quilt designer in Fons & Porter’s Quick + Easy Quilts and Quiltermaker magazines. She is a contributor to the following quilt books: 1000 Quilt Inspirations 2015, The Quilter’s Planner 2017, 2020/1, and Free Motion Framework.
