Let’s kick off Memorial Day weekend with a remix of a classic star block. I initially made this block as part of a collaboration with other talented designers – who all designed a classic star block that was made into a sampler pattern. Unfortunately the complete sampler of all the blocks are no longer available. But check out the hashtag #2021aquiltodyssey on Instagram and you may still be able to get some of the blocks from designers individually.
My star was made using Velvet from Art Gallery Fabrics. I’m a fan of prints and florals, so I know when I saw this fabric that I would use it to make my block.
