How long have you been quilting?I started in 2019 with a “Beginning Quilting Class.”
How did you get started quilting?My husband Stephen purchased a Janome domestic machine as a Christmas gift in 2018. I was quite surprised, because I did not recall asking for a sewing machine. Through out the day, I would ask, “I did ask for this?”
What is your favorite part of quilting? Completing a quilt. Each completion gives me a sense of accomplishment.
What is your least favorite part of quilting? Deciding how I want to complete the quilt. What design? What colors to use?
Do you have a day job? If so, what do you do?Yes, I am adjunct professor for Wilkes University. I teach Advanced Nursing Research in the graduate program. And, I have been both a chairperson and committee member for PhD Student developing and defending their dissertations.
Do you design your own quilt patterns?No, I follow the patterns of others, for now.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?My organizational skills, I am a list maker and when I want to get something done, I will give it great thoughts and put it into action. For example, the loft.
What three words best describe you?Organized, fun-loving, and creative
Which do you prefer: fat quarters or yardage?Both
Favorite season?Spring, because it is the start of growth.
