How long have you been quilting?~30 years
How did you get started quilting?A friend taught me quilt piecing by hand and I hated it so it was many years before I started quilting again.
What is your favorite part of quilting?Playingwith colors and fabric patterns to create different combinations.
What is your least favorite part of quilting?Binding, I am lucky that my mom is currentlydoing the binding on my quilts for me!!
Do you have a day job? If so, what do you do?I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist at the EarthData Analysis Center at the University of New Mexico. I have been doing that since graduate school. I have a PhD in Archaeology and started doing spatial analysis as part of my graduate program and decided to get a job in GIS rather than be a starving archaeologist!
Do you design your own quilt patterns?No, although I have taken some classes with Jacquie Gering and have made quilts with the class projects.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?Instantaneous travel, so I could go have lunch with my niece and nephew at their schools and then come back and have dinner at home.
What three words best describe you?Creative, sarcastic, kind
Which do you prefer: fat quarters or yardage?Yardage!
Favorite season?Fall, I love the colors and smells of Fall!
